At 10% abv and 110 ibus, this year’s batch of Super Power is extraordinarily hoppy and one of the hoppiest beers in SA. The time, hop quantity and difficulty make this beer cost a fortune but it soo worth it.
Built with a heap of hops at every stage of the brewing process and triple dry-hopped, this year’s edition features a fresh wet hop twist, with a wet hop African Queen addition in the hopback. We used an intense amount of Simcoe on the hot side for brisk hop bitterness, then dry hopped it with Mosaic, Centennial, Ekuanot and Southern Passion.
This onslaught of hops give it a powerful hop intensity unlike any other beer we brew. The result is an ocean of candy-orange and peach that saturates your senses, an aroma bursting with juicy hop nectar, and a resiny, brisk and bright hop bitterness in the finish.
