Preorder – Juicy Fresh: Blood Orange IPA 12pk

Juicy Fresh is a Blood Orange IPA that brings together Tarocco blood oranges from Babylonstoren and classic citrusy American hops.  Blood Oranges are prized for their juicy-sweet cherry character, which accentuates American hop notes of deep grapefruit and stone fruit.  Fresh peel and juice were added directly to the beer during fermentation and in the hopback during the brew.  This beer also makes use of Southern Sublime, a South African hop that was bred specifically for its bright orange fruit profile.

We get flavour notes of citrus-orange, cherry, zesty grapefruit and a hoppy pine dimension, balanced by a refreshing, crisp finish.   This is a fun, easy drinking beer that combines our passion for local produce and American IPAs.

Interestingly, this is quite a storied beer for Nick our brewmaster.  Blood Orange IPA was one of the first and best homebrews he ever brewed, and he later brewed commercial versions at a couple breweries.  it’s exciting to bring it here to South African with local inspiration!
